Our verdict

Floot removes the usual setup tax for AI-built apps: it plugs into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and the backend, database, logins and hosting come with it. There is a free plan to try it, paid plans start at $25 a month, and mobile builds are included on every plan.

Full review

Floot is an AI app builder that works from inside the assistant you already use. Instead of opening a separate editor, you add Floot to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor as a connector, describe what you want, and it builds the app, the database behind it and the hosting. The company is based in San Francisco and lists Y Combinator as a backer on its homepage.

How it works

Floot’s own walkthrough is four steps: connect Floot to your AI, prompt it to build the project, keep refining until it looks right, then publish to web and mobile. The homepage promises no git, no terminal and no build credits. Behind the chat, the platform handles accounts and logins, a database, recurring tasks, emails and notifications, search-engine basics and integrations such as Stripe payments, Google login and Zapier.

Pricing

There are three plans on the pricing page: Free at $0 per month, Pro at $25 per month and Power at $100 per month, with yearly billing that gives two months free. Limits are expressed as building actions per day (100 on Free, 1,000 on Pro, 5,000 on Power), plus hosting and AI credits on the paid plans. Custom domains, removal of the Floot badge and priority support start on Pro. Mobile app builds are included on every plan: 2 a month on Free, 12 on Pro and unlimited on Power.

Who it suits

Founders, operators and designers who want to ship a working product without learning a toolchain, and developers who want a quick backend and hosting target from an agent they already use. Publishing to the app stores still needs your own Apple and Google developer accounts; Floot does the build work.

Who it's for

Best for

  • Founders
  • operators and non-coders who want to describe an app in chat and get a live web and mobile product
  • with the backend handled for them.

Not ideal for

  • Teams that need full control of their own infrastructure and git workflow
  • or anyone who wants to publish to app stores without opening Apple and Google developer accounts.

How we tested

AppsInsight desk research, 5 October 2026. We read Floot's homepage and pricing page and confirmed plan prices on that date. We did not build a production app with it. Backer and feature claims are Floot's own.
