A workspace for humans and persistent AI agents to work as one team.

A workspace for humans and persistent AI agents to work as one team. A shared workplace for people and persistent agents Atako is a professional workspace for deploying and supervising AI agents alongside a human team.
A shared team structure, project context and visible agent activity make supervised professional pilots easier to organise. Check permissions, model terms and total inference costs before widening access.
Atako is a professional workspace for deploying and supervising AI agents alongside a human team. An agent gets its own virtual machine, an assigned role and persistent context. The product combines a visual team floor, organisation chart, shared project boards and wikis, agent activity and a Human Notices inbox. It is aimed at companies operating more than an isolated chat assistant, not consumers looking for a personal chatbot.
The official About page identifies Charlie Debuyser as co-founder and CEO and Romain Laodicina as co-founder and CTO. The legal notice names publisher AIYBIZ, a French simplified joint-stock company with its registered office in Paris. Legal officer titles differ from product-team titles: Charlie is listed as chairman and Romain Laodicina-Levy as director general. Founding year and company-wide team size were not verified and remain blank.

Atako separates the model, execution harness and hosting environment. Its website advertises managed inference or a customer’s own provider key, including OpenAI, Anthropic and OpenRouter on the pricing page. Open-source harnesses are components of the service; the Atako platform itself is proprietary. Model availability, actual provider costs and the selected deployment should be checked in the account rather than inferred from every logo on the homepage.
Agents can communicate with peers, maintain memory, work on recurring tasks and receive webhook events. Each agent has a mailbox, and the website advertises voice interaction. Shared projects combine a kanban board with a wiki; completed project knowledge feeds company context. These are vendor-described capabilities, not a measured test of unattended delivery, memory accuracy or thousands of simultaneous agents.
The interface makes supervision part of the product: an agent view shows current activity, the dashboard groups work across the organisation, and Human Notices bring questions, blockers and decisions to people. The terms say agent action logs are accessible for twelve months. A trace is useful for checking what happened, but it is not proof that an output is correct or that every external action was approved.
The integration catalogue advertises more than 190 integrations, with tool-by-tool grants. Official Slack, Notion, Jira, HubSpot and GitHub pages describe their read/write scope. Connections still need the customer’s authorisation and the relevant account’s rights. Gmail and Google Drive are marked soon on the inspected homepage and are not counted as available integrations in this listing. No integration was connected or exercised in this review.
The most important qualification is contractual: Human Notices are a collaboration feature, not a security mechanism or safeguard. Atako does not guarantee that a given action will be brought to a human for approval. The customer sets sensitive-action rules and access, and acts performed through the granted rights are attributed to the customer even when an agent departs from instructions. Start with low-risk read access, inspect results and widen scope only when your team understands the consequences. Do not treat an Approve button in a screenshot as universal transaction protection.
The public Standard plan is EUR20 per active agent per month excluding tax, or EUR200 per agent billed once a year excluding tax. The annual display also rounds that to EUR17 per month; EUR200 is the actual advertised annual invoice, not EUR204. It includes full platform access, unlimited human members and 1,000 credits per agent per month. Additional inference uses credits or a separate model-provider bill when using your own key. A credit-to-currency conversion or typical task cost was not verified, so the seat price is not a reliable total-workload estimate.
A no-card trial is advertised for fourteen days. The terms allow no more than fourteen days from registration; without a subscription agents then become inaccessible and can be reactivated by buying a licence during the next fourteen days. Agents and their data are permanently deleted on day twenty-eight after signup if the trial is not converted. There is no verified permanent free plan.
Custom deployment is quote-based, with on-premise/private deployment, dedicated onboarding and negotiated SLA/DPA/support. Standard is not automatically a 24/7-support contract. Subscriptions renew automatically; termination from the account takes effect at the current period’s end with no pro-rata refund. Reducing seats requires archiving or deleting the corresponding agents and takes effect at renewal. Purchased credits do not expire and are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Starting price remains blank in this directory to avoid hiding per-agent tax and inference costs.
The homepage says every cloud server is in the European Union and describes self-hosting as keeping everything inside the perimeter. The legal notice, terms and September 24 privacy policy are narrower: platform accounts/messages/settings are EU-hosted, but agent virtual machines can be outside the EU and their region is not guaranteed. Model providers receive agent content under their own terms, which may permit training. Atako says it does not train on customer data; that is not a blanket promise about the chosen model provider. On-premise hosting alone does not establish that external inference stays on-premise.
The vendor states VM isolation, encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and sensitive-event logging. No independent audit, certification or security test was verified. Privacy roles are also distinct: Atako is controller for accounts and billing and processor for customer agent content; the customer remains responsible for the lawfulness of connected data and the agent’s use.
Archiving stops execution and retains the agent’s data. Deleting an agent destroys its VM but associated data remains archived for the customer unless erasure is requested. Requested erasure is due within thirty days, subject to legal retention. Billing records last ten years and security logs twelve months. The terms provide structured export of customer configuration, memories, skills, files, projects, context and action logs, with switching support and at least thirty days to export after the contract ends. Export and erasure were not tested.
I like that Atako treats agents as work that needs an owner, shared context and a visible history. A project board, a team structure and one decision inbox are more useful to a manager than a stack of unrelated chat windows.
I would pilot it with a narrow professional workflow before giving agents mail, CRM updates or other business-changing access. The terms deliberately leave configuration and consequences with the customer, and Human Notices do not guarantee an approval gate. The public price is easy to understand at the seat level, but inference costs and data location need a second check. For a team prepared to supervise agents, this is an interesting coordination layer. For guaranteed EU-only processing, a fully enforced approval system or a consumer assistant, it is not a safe assumption.
